Grade 5- First Nation people and Jacques Cartier
We have been learning about the way of life for the First Nation people before the the arrival of the European explorers. We have also learned about Jacques Cartier and his travels to the Americas. The students have been working last week to create a dialogue between Donnacona, a chief, and Jacques Cartier. They are arguing who has the right to claim the new land, and why. The dialogues will be presented in class today, and tomorrow. Please expect a note indicating your child's mark in the next few days. Please sign this and return it to school.
