Happy Easter!

I hope that everyone had a restful Easter weekend. Your children have been studying the significant events that occurred during Holy Week. We ended the week by making Easter wreaths that summarize the week.

In Social Studies we have been talking about different holidays and celebrations that are celebrated in Canada. We are also learning the difference between a celebration and a tradition. To end this unit, the students are preparing presentations on different celebrations from around the world. I'm exciting to see what they produce, their last assignments turned out beautifully. The projects must be done in French. They are due: Friday, April 8, 2016

We have recently begun our measurement unit in Math. The students are learning how to use a ruler, and other non-standard unit to measure various things. Some still need practice measuring.  This is something that can be practised at home. Try measuring different object in the kitchen, or maybe books and toys in their bedrooms.

Tomorrow the PAC will be selling pizza to support the Epilepsy Support Centre. The students are encouraged to wear the purple tomorrow.

Please be advised that there is a PD Day on Friday, April 1, 2016. Enjoy another long weekend!
