Curriculum Update

We have been busy in grade 2! We are just finishing up our math unit on Adding and Subtracting Two-digit Number. The students have been learning how to regroup, and when to regroup. They will have their unit test on Friday.

In Science, we are exploring the different items that can be found in the kitchen. We have been discussing the differences between solids and liquids. We have been doing some experiments too! While doing experiments the children have been able to discover which solids can dissolve in liquids. We have even seen how different liquids react when mixed together. 

Tomorrow, they will begin a writing assignment asking them what they would do if they were the Prime Minister of Canada. They will have to plan their ideas carefully. Then, they are going to produce a complete paragraph using descriptive language.
