Anti-Bullying Week

It is anti-bullying week. There have been a few activities in the school to make children aware that bullying is not okay. To end the week, the children are asked to wear pink to show that they are against bullying.

We are learning a lot in Math class. The children have learned to tell time. Please practice this skill with them by playing little games together. We have been learning about money the last couple of days. We learned the names of the coins, as well as their value. We have also talked about different ways in which to make the same amount (ex: 2 quarters or 3 dimes and 4 nickels make $ 0.50)

Winter Plays

We have started working on little plays in the classroom. The play is called "L'hiver". In the play, the students talk about reasons they like and dislike the winter. The students will need to memorize their parts. I look forward to seeing the plays in a few weeks!

This Week

We have a pretty busy week this week. We start with our field trip on Wednesday, November 9th to Colassanti's. Please ensure that your child is dressed properly, as some of the activities will outside. There will also be time to spend in the arcade area. You may give your child money if you would like.

We have begun a new unit on Measurement in Math. The focus on this unit will be: Time, Temperature, and Money.
