Social Studies

We have finished our Science unit, and begun our EDM unit. In this unit, we will be learning about different regions (mountain, arctic, desert, tropical rain forest), and the characteristics of each region.

We are coming to the end of our second Math unit. The students have been learning how to add and subtract numbers to 30. We will be having a Math test on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Science Test

We have completed our Science unit. We have learned about the uses of Air and Water, and also ways in which to keep the air and water clean. The students will have a Science test on Friday, October 21. They will need to know and be able to explain the Water Cycle. They need to know uses for air and water, and how to conserve water and keep the air clean.

Also, Picture Day will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

Pumpkin Project

The students will be doing a pumpkin project. The information on the project will be sent home today. Please read it over with your child. It has been discussed in class.

The students will create pumpkin characters based on a character found in a book. They will present their project to the class in French starting on Monday, October 24th, 2016.

Thanksgiving Mass
