EDM Projects
The students had Social Study projects due today. The children were to research a celebration from around the world, and present it to the class. We have seen many of the projects this morning, and will continue with the presentations again this afternoon. The projects were very well done!
We are learning complex subjects in Math right now. The first topic was perimeter. The students have learned that perimeter is calculating the distance around something. They recently learned the term area. We are learning how to find the area of different objects using non-standard units of measure. These terms are new, and can be a bit confusing. I have noticed in the past, that students confuse the two concepts. Perhaps you can practice finding the perimeter and area of different things at home. Try finding the area of the dining room table using playing cards.
